Examples of findings cited under K324 include:

  • The facility failed to ensure that the grease filters of the commercial cooking equipment were installed at an angle not less than 45 degrees from the horizontal.
  • The facility failed to maintain the range hood's upper seems with a greasetight seal.
  • The facility failed to ensure that the discharge nozzles (in the fire extinguishing system for the commercial kitchen cooking equipment) were protected with caps to prevent the entrance of grease vapors, moisture or other foreign materials into the piping.
