Agencies providing home dialysis services must have an agreement with an approved dialysis center for backup outpatient dialysis services.

Furthermore, home dialysis agencies must share required client medical information between facilities treating a client. This also includes the transfer of the client care plan, hepatitis B status, and long-term program.

Transplant Recipient Registry Program

In order to comply with 40 TAC §97.405(j), home dialysis agencies must make sure the names of clients awaiting a kidney transplant are entered into a transplant candidate registry.
