Rule: What are basic requirements for meals and snacks?

Food Allergies Cannot be Served

Minimum standard rules for child care centers and homes (chapters 744, 746 & 747) now include a statement that operations must not serve a child a food identified on the child's food allergy emergency plan.

 Consider This!

Four year old Victor is allergic to milk. Your operation's kitchen serves milk with lunch each day. To ensure Victor is never served milk, kitchen staff always mark Victor's cup and serve him juice as an alternative.

Is your operation meeting compliance with minimum standard rules to ensure Victor's safety?
