Rule: May I take children away from my operation for field trips?

Field Trip Bus

Minimum standard rules for child care centers and homes (chapters 744, 746 & 747) now specify the requirement to have a copy of each child's food allergy emergency plan and allergy medications, if applicable.

This means if a child requires a food allergy emergency plan, the child's plan and any associated medications must be brought on the field trip, regardless of the type or duration of the trip.

 Consider This!

Sasha is preparing to take the school agers on a field trip to the museum after lunch this afternoon. Because the museum is only a few blocks away from the operation, and no food will be served, Sasha concludes that carrying the food allergy emergency plan for the only child who has a food allergy isn't necessary.

Is Sasha complying with minimum standard rule requirements?
